Bisinella Developments has committed to a three-year partnership with food relief provider The Outpost, which has been helping people experiencing hardship across Geelong for more than 36 years.

Over the past two years, demand for The Outpost's services has increased by 50 per cent, with more than 76,890 meals and drinks provided to the local community in the past 12 months alone.

Joining The Outpost’s Foundation20 group as a Steward, Bisinella will provide vital funding to assist the organisation with the rising demand, as cost-of-living pressures drive more women, children, seniors and working people to access the service.

The Outpost Chair Amy Hunter said long-term impactful partnerships with community minded businesses such as Bisinella allow the organisation to focus on what matters most.

"Foundation20 gives us the certainty to plan ahead and continue supporting people who need us,” Ms Hunter said.

“It means we can focus on what we do best, feeding people in need, while creating safety, belonging and hope for people across our community."

Foundation20 was established to give The Outpost greater certainty, with predictable partnerships and funding allowing the organisation to focus on people instead of wondering where the next meal will come from.

That commitment reaches far beyond the meals served each day. For guests like Mr B, who spent nine months experiencing homelessness while waiting for public housing, The Outpost became a place to get out of the weather, connect with others and feel safe while rebuilding his life.

Ms Hunter said the organisation has always been about more than providing a meal, it’s a lifeline that reaches far beyond the plate.

"The Outpost has always been about supporting vulnerable community members experiencing food insecurity who often don't have a place of refuge or community," Ms Hunter said.

"While food relief is at the centre of what we do, it is remarkable how feeling seen, or the power of a simple hello, can positively impact someone's day, particularly when times are tough."
