When we shared our direction and focus for 2026 earlier this year, we outlined an ambitious agenda centred on creating communities, supporting local organisations and continuing to invest in the future of the Geelong region.
Six months in, I'm pleased to say we've made significant progress across each of these priorities, with many of the projects we highlighted now becoming reality.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our business is seeing plans on paper transform into places where people live, connect and build their futures.
Across our residential portfolio, we're continuing to deliver the quality communities we've become known for. At Flinders Walk Estate, Stages 1 and 2 have now titled, with only four lots remaining. Wetlands and street tree landscaping will commence shortly, and we're looking forward to welcoming the first residents before Christmas.
At Lara Lakes Estate, Stage 10 has titled, while Stages 11 and 12 are nearing completion, with asphalt currently being laid and titles expected in September. Construction is also progressing well on Stage 9, which remains on track for title in 2027.
Demand has also remained strong for lots at Seaside Estate, where Stage 8 has sold out and Stage 4 is well under construction, with titles expected in early 2027.
Together, these milestones reflect the continued confidence buyers have in our communities and the strength of the Geelong and Bellarine region. This has also been reflected in the recent Regional Movers Index, which ranked Greater Geelong as the second most popular regional destination in Australia.
Beyond our residential developments, we're preparing for the next phase of growth, with construction of the Bisinella Business Park anticipated to commence in the second half of 2026. This important project will create opportunities for businesses to establish and grow, supporting local employment and the region's long-term economic future.
While development is at the heart of what we do, we've always believed successful communities extend well beyond roads, homes and parks. Strong communities are built through the organisations, volunteers and local leaders who bring people together.
Throughout 2026, we've continued our long-standing support of local organisations, including Lara Sporting Club, Committee for Geelong, Lara United Football Club, Bell Park Sports Club and many other community groups that make a lasting contribution to our region.
We've also been proud to support events such as the Lara Fun Run and to see the Bisinella Community Centre begin an exciting new chapter through its partnership with Cloverdale Community Centre.
Looking ahead, our focus remains on completing key residential stages, progressing our industrial developments and continuing to invest in the partnerships that help our communities thrive.
As a family business with more than 60 years of history in this region, we're proud of the role we play in shaping Geelong's future. Every estate we deliver, every community partnership we support and every milestone we achieve is part of a long-term commitment to creating places where people are proud to live, work and belong.
I'd like to thank our staff, contractors, project partners, community organisations and residents for their ongoing support. Together, we're continuing to build communities that will serve future generations.
